My Story
After obtaining a degree in Chemistry at Colorado State University, I wanted to travel before I settled down to a fulltime job, so I decided to travel to Perth, Western Australia and meet up with my old college roommate. My original plan was to continue from Australia on a 6 month, round the world trip. However, as usually happens I was out of money and needed to make enough money before I could continue.
I got a job working as a laboratory manager with a geochemical laboratory where I could apply my education, but I had always had an interest in crafts and handmade jewelry so I created a small part-time jewelry business. Over the years, the initial jewelry store expanded into five art and craft stores, providing a wide range of art and craft supplies as well as handmade items for sale. After 12 years in Australia I returned to America and got a job with the U.S. Geological Survey. When I retired my interest in crafts led me to pursue my dream of creating fine jewelry in gold and silver. So, here I am, I created a website and established an on-line Etsy store.
